The Boudoir

Image From Assignment 1.png

Floor Plan

The bedroom is entered through the single door in the south wall. The large queen size bed is faced to the north. The boudoir is placed in the west side which will have good sun light come through the window during the afternoon time. The user can have small chat or enjoy the sunshine in the afternoon with friends and families or herself in the boudoir.

Bedroom

In this space, a queen size bed is the mainstay. This bed, known as lit à la Polonaise in the late eighteenth century, is like the design of the decorator Richard de Lalonde active in the 1780s and 1790s and is representative of the Neoclassical style. The canopy uses the same blue as the nature sky to make the whole space unique. The rug used the most popular hand-woven floral rug in the 18th century and absorbed the Rococo style that was popular at that time.

The boudoir

In this boudoir, there is an Angel Bed specially used by women. It is generally placed in the wall recess on the wall of the room. It can be used as a resting tool in the salon and can also provide a place for chatting. In this space there are very large floor-to-ceiling windows and curtains, all designed in the Rococo style of the 18th century. The crystal chandelier in the middle of the space is also a lamp used by the royal family or the rich to decorate in the same period.
